Lead Me On is a 1971 vocal duet studio album by American country music singer-songwriters, Loretta Lynn and Conway Twitty.
This was Lynn and Twitty's second duet album together. With their previous album, We Only Make Believe, they became a successful duo and won a Grammy award for their #1 hit, "After the Fire Is Gone". This album's title track was a the only single, and became the duo's second #1 hit together, as well as their second released single. The duo's album includes 11 tracks. One of the tracks, "I Wonder If You Told Her About Me" was a self-penned composition by Twitty. The album includes a list of cover versions, including Webb Pierce's "Back Street Affair", a 1950s Country hit. It also includes, Freddie Hart's "Easy Loving" and Bobby Edwards' "You're the Reason".
Recording for the album began and ended in 1971. The single and album were both released at the end of 1971. The album peaked at #2 on the Billboard Top Country Albums chart and #106 on the Billboard 200. In addition, the album also sold 500,000 copies, and received a "Gold" rating by the RIAA. Lead Me On became the duo's second album to be certified "Gold".
